For all services:

1. Reliable information

The guardian is responsible for providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about their pet, including its health status, behaviors, specific needs, allergies, medication, and routines.

2. Health and Prevention

The animal must be up to date on its vaccinations and deworming treatments at the start of service, and the owner must present the animal’s vaccination record.

3. Liability for Damages

It is the guardian’s sole responsibility to cover any damages caused by their pet to the premises, other animals, property, third parties, or Pet Care Valley’s pet sitters during the service period.

4. Behavior and Safety

The owner is required to report any aggressive or erratic behavior exhibited by their pet in advance. In the event of an attack (bite, scratch, lunge), the owner must cover all medical, legal, or property-related expenses resulting from the incident. Service may be suspended immediately, and the owner must arrange for the animal to be picked up or for alternative care arrangements to be made.

5. Permission for Veterinary Care

In the event of a veterinary emergency, Pet Care Valley has the discretion to make the necessary decisions, and the pet owner is responsible for covering the costs associated with the treatment.

6. Walks and Equipment

The owner authorizes their pet’s participation in walks organized by Pet Care Valley, assuming full responsibility for any incident that may occur during these walks, including unexpected behavior, reactions to external stimuli, or accidents. The owner must also provide the necessary equipment for the walks (leash, collar, harness) in good condition, and Pet Care Valley is not liable for any malfunctions or damage resulting from their use.

7. Punctuality and Cancellations

The times agreed with the caregiver for dropping off and picking up the animal must be followed. Last-minute cancellations are subject to the following fee policy:

• • Cancellation 2 weeks before the service: 20% (of the total cost of the stay)

  • Cancellation 1 week before the service: 30% (of the total cost of the stay)

  • Cancellation less than 1 week before the service: 50% (of the total cost of the stay)

8. Personal Items and Belongings

Pet Care Valley is not responsible for any damage to or loss of personal items brought in with the pet (beds, toys, collars, etc.).

9. Images and Publicity

The pet owner authorizes the use of photos and videos of their pet, taken during the service, for promotional purposes on Pet Care Valley’s social media and other channels, unless otherwise specified.

10. Full Responsibility

The pet owner assumes full legal and financial responsibility for any incident involving their pet during the period in which services are provided. They must also understand that Pet Care Valley acts with the utmost care and professionalism, but cannot be held liable for situations beyond its direct control.

11. Payment

Payment for Pet Care Valley’s services must be made under the following terms: 50% at the beginning and 50% at the end of the service. Failure to comply may result in suspension of the service or penalties.

For House Sitting/ Pet Sitting:

12. Responsibility for the Home

The caregiver assumes responsibility for any structural damage, damage to essential equipment, and safety incidents that occur on the property during the service period, as long as they are not directly caused by the actions of the house/pet sitter.

13. Cameras at the caregiver’s home

The pet owner is required to inform Pet Care Valley in advance of the presence of any active surveillance cameras in the home, specifying their locations. For reasons of privacy and the comfort of the service provider while performing the service, video or audio recording is not permitted in private areas. Pet Care Valley reserves the right to refuse or suspend the service if undeclared cameras are detected.
